Amazon Music is bringing Twitch integration into its app so that artists can perform or do live Q&A sessions on Twitch and have it appear inside the Amazon Music app. Amazon owns Twitch and it’s been making moves with hiring in the last year to boost music functionality and visibility — today’s move was a clear next step. If Amazon Music is going to make a dent in the Apple Music/Spotify duo, I think it has to leverage Twitch as a premier platform for artists.
